I had missed this when it came out, thanks for posting the link.
I'd already decided that I'd get a iPad with the keyboard, just because I think they're sooo cool. The lack of a stylus has bothered me because I 'grew up' using Palms, which all have styli nestled into their cases. It's handy and I have tried using a qtip or other kind of poking device on my iPod touch to no avail.
The idea that the combination of iPad and stylus could replace pen and paper sounded, just from the headline, like it was one of those Futurist predictions about paperless offices that have yet to surface. I am one of those weird souls who Likes writing by hand on paper; just the way I'm wired, I suppose.
So color me pleasantly surprised by the artistic possibilities. It would have been more accurate of them to say that the iPad could replace the digital tablet, if Apple chooses to go that route as a future option.
If they do, I would love to see if they could add Inkwell as an app. It would certainly help broaden its appeal to the non-techie as a communication and email device. It probably wouldn't cut into their keyboard sales, either.
